Insurance StrategiesSM for Terrorism Exposures

This unique course (whose first edition was published prior to 9/11/2001) explores terrorism from an insurance perspective. This course examines the nature of the terrorism risk, presents an outline of anticipated governmental response to terrorism and its relationship to transfer of risk considerations, and overviews insurance issues related to terrorism for both private companies and public entities. This course also addresses the coverage implications arising from the use of both standard commercial insurance contracts for terrorism risks and specially designed insurance policies.

After 9/11, an addendum was added to this course to incorporate the many changes to the insurance industry, insurance coverage, and insurance law that resulted from the economic realities associated with large-scale terrorist acts against civilians.
